Emma Lazarus Statue of Liberty Award 2010
On Wednesday June 2, 2010, the American Jewish Historical Society presented its highest honor, the Emma Lazarus Statue of Liberty Award, to Seth Lipsky, founding editor of the New York Sun and the English edition of the Forward. Peter Kann was the Master of Ceremonies for the evening, which included toasts from businessmen Michael Steinhardt, Tom Tisch, and Roger Hertog, to journalists Philip Gourevitch (The New Yorker), Paul Gigot (The Wall Street Journal), and Seth's wife, Amity Shlaes (Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations).
